The Library |
The college has a rich
central library of an area of 6000 square feet stocked with books, reference
books and journals and periodic. Another library has been set up in the new
building for the PG students of the Departments of Bengali, Education and
Commerce. There are also Departmental Libraries for each department with all
necessary facilities. This library is the member of "National Library and Information
Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (N-LIST)" and all our faculties including students can access 6000+
e-journals and 1,99,500 e-books and 600,000 e-books through NDL. |

A well organized digitized updated library
software namely “KOHA” is maintained. There is sufficient space for seating both for
students and teachers. Students can avail computers with internet
facility in the library. Questions papers of the university as well as
college are preserved scientifically. Career guidance books, employment weeklies and dailies
are procured in the library. Journals are procured and latest
publications by teachers are displayed to motivate the students. Teachers and Students get 24x7 digital reference
services becoming a library whatsapp group member (Librarymdm@digitalref20). The library remains
open from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm. The students of each
get 6 days (Monday to Saturday) lending opportunity in a week rotationally. The students can lend
3 books at a time for a fortnight and they can renew twice. Failing to obey the
lending rules, the students have to pay fine in the stipulated norm. |
