Department of Physics: |

The department of physics was established in 1996 as a B.Sc. General
course, under the growing demands for introduction of science subjects in the
college from the education-loving people of the locality. Subsequently,
Honours course has been introduced in the session 2010-11. The department has
all the necessary infrastructural facilities under one umbrella. Apart from
normal class lectures and laboratory sessions, extra classes and special
contact hours are arranged even after the selection test. Apart from academic
exercise, the department organises Seminars and special lectures programmes.
The subject imparts energy and vigour among the students and helps them to
learn, grow and evolve so that their dreams come true. |

Departmental Highlights: |

The
department is well-equipped with all infrastructural facilities. Free
internet and Wi-Fi are available for the Students and Staff. The
department has renovated laboratories and facilities of LCD projector, ICT and
Smart Board. Enriched
departmental library with approximately 200 books on numerous domain. The
dedicated and hardworking faculty and staff provide guidance, motivation and
emotional support to students; hence a there is great bonding between students
and teachers. The
department arranges remedial classes for slow learners. Students
enthusiastically participate in various institutional activities like blood
donation camp, Thalassemia screening, cultural programs, celebration of
national days etc. |
