Dr. Ritu Mathur (Mitra) has been granted UGC sponsored Minor Research Project (budget Rs. 3.0 Lakhs) on �The Emergence of the New Man: A Study of Contemporary Indian Soaps and the Changing Sensibilties of Middle class Women�.
A certificate of High Commendation was given to student Soumya Das at the State Level Youth Parliament competition, 2009 organised by the Department of Parliamentary Affairs.
Certificate of recognition awarded to faculty Sri Debmalya Khuntiya as Active NSS Programme Officer, 2012-13.
In order to create socio-political awareness a delegation of students were taken for a visit to the West Bengal State Legislative Assembly when it was in session in 2009.
